CHARITY
BALL 2012
Rossendale Hospice Diamond Ball, held on the
7th July was a real sparking affair!
The event organised by our very talented and determined
Special Events Committee (all volunteers) raised a
huge great £38,300.
The glittering affair was compered by Jim Rosenthal, who
was not the only celebrity on the night.
Kym Marsh former
singer with pop group “Hear’Say”, who
plays Michelle Connor on Coronation Street entertained
guests with a couple of solo numbers and was then joined
by her talented daughter Emily for a duet.
Shobna Gulati, also member of the cast of Coronation Street – (Sunita
Alahan) donated a meal, to be cooked by her own fair hands
for 12 people as an auction prize. Ably assisted by Antony
Cotton (Sean Tully), Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price), Jennie
McAlpine (Fizz) and Kym Marsh, which was a huge hit with
guests.
Our thanks to to the very talented Chalcedony
Williams and Andrea
Price, (student and music teacher from Bacup
and Rawtenstall Grammar School) for pre-dinner entertainment.
To guests who attended the Ball and for all the businesses
